The pro-Russian cleric of Metropolis of Sliven (Bulgarian Orthodox Church), Mr. Sylvester Yanakiev, known for his outrageous, immoral and arrogant behavior, made hateful comments against the people of Republic of North Macedonia.
More specifically, on November 15, Yanakiev wrote on Facebook:
“Do you know the difference between a Bulgarian and a macedonian?
The father of the Bulgarian is Bulgarian, his son is also Bulgarian.
The father of the macedonian is Bulgarian, his son is serbian.”
We must recall that Sylvester, among his many disadvantages (from moral and legal side), which make him an absolutely non-canonical cleric, also has nazi views. This can be seen in his text, as he calls the Bulgarians with a capital letter, compared to the other peoples, Macedonians and Serbs, which he humiliates by writing them with a small letter.
According to sources of Doxologia Infonews, Metropolitan of Sliven Ioanikiy is afraid of Sylvester, whose entourage consists mostly of people of the underworld, as the sources themselves claim, who requested anonymity due to fear for their health and life. And for this reason, the metropolitan did not react to any manifestation of his cleric.
It should be noted that it is unacceptable cleric to make such nazi comments, especially now in time of war when peace is desired more than ever.
