Metropolitans Grigoriy of Vratsa, Daniil of Vidin, Gavriil of Lovchan form the triprosopon from which the new Patriarch of Bulgaria will emerge.
The Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Church met today to elect the three Metropolitans from whom the successor of the late Patriarch Neophytos will be elected.
According to the results of the vote, the triprosopon consists of three Metropolitans: Grigoriy of Vratsa, Daniil of Vidin, and Gavriil of Lovchan, who were elected by the majority of the Hierarchs. Metropolitan Grigoriy received 11 votes, while Metropolitans Daniil and Gavriil each received 9 votes.
