With the participation of many faithful believers and pilgrims from Sofia, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated yesterday (Tuesday, 27 December 2022), on the day celebrating the memory of Saint Stephen, in the Holy Church of the same name, the Bulgarian Parish, in Phanar of Constantinople.
The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Silyvria, who was joined also in concelebration by His Grace Bishop Polykarp of Belogradchik (Lefkopolis) and His Grace Bishop Adrianos of Halicarnassus
Before the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Polykarp of Lefkopolis expressed his filial thanks to His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, for the permission he granted to him for his participation in the Divine Liturgy and conveyed to the congregation the wishes of His Beatitude Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria, and the presiding Hierarch at the Liturgy conveyed the wishes of His All-Holiness the Patriarch, and the Shepherd of the Bulgarian Parish of Constantinople. At the end, gifts were exchanged and a choir from Sofia performed church hymns.
