Establishment of a „Center for Learning the Greek Language and Culture“ by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Aksum

The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Aksum, participating in the historical anniversary and the celebrations of the two hundred (200) years since the outbreak of the Greek Revolution of 1821, announces the establishment of a „Center for Learning the Greek Language and Culture“ in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

This educational program is addressed to Ethiopians, foreigners and expatriates who are not Greek-speakers and who are going to work or study in Greece as well as to people who wish to know the Language, History and Culture of Greece.

The Greek Language courses will be offered completely free of charge and will be conducted in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Residence (Sidist kilo area) every Thursday and Saturday from 5.00 to 6.30 p.m. The courses start date will be announced shortly.

Applications for participation (completed form) or further clarification about the courses, are sent via e-mail to: archbishop.aksum@gmail.com.

Applications to be submitted by 4/04/2021.

On completion of each level of learning, the students will be able to participate in the examinations for the Certificate of Attainment of Greek recognized by the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs.
